    Hello,
I have a compaq presario and and Hp pavilion that I want both to use the same monitor, is there any way of doing this?Is there a way to hook the two together using the parralel ports so both can read off the same monitor?

You can use a KVM switch to share a single monitor, keyboard and mouse. Take a look at Newegg (or the like). Prices range from $ 20 Bucks on up.

you could do it for free too ... using VNC.
put the server on one pc running at startup, then you would not need a keyboard ect. just use the client and connect to that pc. Some VNC flavors let you run full screen, transfer files, share a clipboard, ect ...
    interested - google VNC.

My vote is for VNC or if you have xp use remote desktop connection.
