Two questions about Windows 7.

I recently bought a new computer and I have Windows 7. Two problems I have with it and need help with though.

1. When I want to exit out of a game to look at the internet the windows button between control and alt does not work. I have to use control alt delete to open up task manager and then go to the webpage, although this doesn't even work for some games. Is there anything I can do to make the windows button bring me to the desktop?

2. When I'm browsing the web sometimes I'll view a webpage where if I try and exit it a new window comes up saying "Do you really want to leave? Check this out!" or something along those lines. If I try exiting this window it doesnt allow me to or sends me to another site, and if i try exiting the main window it flashes the new one that popped up. I use task manager to end the internet task, and then restart it and restore all of the windows except for the one that causes a popup. Is there any way to stop these popups from coming up or prevent them from not letting me not exit them?

Don't have Win7 myself, but something about that doesn't smell quite right.
Did you get this machine new or used?
Sounds like an infection of some sort that was already there or picked up by inefficient defenses.

machine is new and my dad built it for me. don't have any viruses or malware i dont think because ive scanend with norton and microsoft security essentials.

 

1. Control escape seems to work for some games but other games are still impossible to minimize.

2. An example of this was when someone linked me this video and I tried exiting out of the tab, a popup comes up that doesn't let me leave the page although there have been other sites that do this.

Some games dont like being tabbed out of as it can cause problems with the game itself, and so they try to prevent the tabbing out. Other issue id try the above ^ post from davidgp for best results good luck.
