i have two versions of .net framework installed in my pc somehow. I figured out this by reading KB318785 "How to determine which versions of the .NET Framework are installed and whether service packs have been applied" article.
i checked the mscorb.dll properties for version info. one is version 1.1 other one is version 2.0
a message in microsoft web site say Important: You cannot install two different language versions of the .NET Framework on the same machine
my question is: am i supposed to delete older version which is 1.1? if answer is yes then how to delete? thanks

    Hi

You can have two different and more versions of .NET on a PC, its fine... as some applications need various versions of .NET, I have multiple versions including .NET 3.0

What they are meaning but seem not to make it 100% clear is that you could not install say .NET 2.0 English language and .NET 2.0 French language version on the same PC, without getting that error.

for .net 1.1 i need to download
    MS05-004 update which is NDP1.1sp1-KB886903-X86.exe ?

for .net 2.0 i need to download
this is very confusing for me because there are two updates MS06-033 and MS06-056

MS06-033 have 3 files to choose to download.
    NDP20-KB917283-IA64.exe
    NDP20-KB917283-X64.exe
    NDP20-KB917283-X86.exe
