U2 and bad bass

Does anyone else, particularly those with higher end speakers, think that the bass on "How to Dismantle an Atmoic Bomb" sounds rather bad. Not as in the notes/chords he plays are bad, the bass part is just often extremely overpowering when I listen to this album, and not in a good/artistic way. Listen to "Sometimes You Can't Make it on Your Own" for a good example, especially early in the song.

What do you consider higher end speakers?

Well, for computer, which is what I usually listen on, I have an Audigy 2 ZS and Creative Labs S750s. I'm not talking about speaker systems in the thousands.

I'm not a U2 fan, and don't have the album, but Amazon.com obligingly put clips from all the songs for preview.

The bass seems loose and undefined, plus IS fairly loud. Would sound better if it was tighter, and possibly a bit lower in the mixes, but that's an artistic decision. Wouldn't have been mine, but then I'm not paid the big bux to mix their stuff. ;)

(Audigy 2 & Klipsch Promedia 5.1 here. Better stuff in the living room, but the Klipsch is pretty honest.)
