How do you use the UBCD I downloaded to CD? I opened & extracted the files but I don't know how to get it to work. Can you explain please? Thanks

UBCD should be an .ISO file. You burn the image to CD with a CD writing program like Nero. Most programs support ISO burning. Then, simply boot from the CD.

After extracting the files I get the message"Windows Cannot Open This File..." Under "Properties" tab I'm getting it's a 147 MB download so it should be correct. What am I doing wrong?

What program are you using to burn the iso?

I downloaded the ubcd file to my HDD then I burned it to CD by right-clicking on it in the Downloads folder. It used the Music Match Burner plus program I have installed, I clicked to burn for data files.

Thank you I tried using the deepburner program to burn from my downloads folder but after playing the CD I still get the same error message,"7-zip Diagnostic Message Cannot Open Output File E:\ubcd34-full.iso". Could I possibly have a corrupted file? I used a dial-up server to download ubcd using a Get Right program that picks up broken downloads from when they break off. ubcd broke off 14 times & restarted, however the Get Right program was able to show me a 147 MB download under the Properties tab which is the right amount for ubcd. Conceivably I should be able to open ubcd right from the Downloads folder yet I get the error message there too. So I can only conclude a have a bad download. What do you think??

UBCD seems to work fine with Windows XP but I can't seem to use it on a system with Windows 98SE. Was it designed that way?

It shouldn't matter what windows version ye are using. It should be a boot cd.

I don't get anything but a bunch of files when i put the CD in my drive. i try to open each one individually but they don't make any sense (Windows 98SE). Quite different when I put it in the CD drive of a system with Windows XP.

Well, you should be booting to the cd, not just putting in the cd while the os is running.

UBCD = Ultimate BOOT cd. :)

I have no such problem with Windows XP. I just flip it in the drive. Whereas with my 98SE system when i tried changing the BIOS to boot from the CD or E: Drive I saw no change. Just a bunch of files.

No I get a bunch of files to open individually but nothing like that & I can't make any sense of it. Did you use it on a system with W98SE?
