Ubuntu 7.1 Server

    Is it normal to have only a command prompt with the server? Or is there a gui that can be loaded? If there isn't, is there a lunix server distro with a gui? I'm trying to learn lunix as a server, but at the moment, I don't have the time to sit down and learn a command prompt OS.

    Yes, it's fairly normal to have no GUI with a server

    Code:
    sudo aptitude install x-window-system-core gnome
    should install the Gnome desktop for you

    It will take a while though
