Ubuntu And Netscape

I have linux UBUNTU 6.0 on a PII computer. I have Netscape dial-up internet service . I want to install the netscape dialer on this computer. I have the ".tar" file on a cd. I tried to install it but it does not work all the way; looks that I have to do some "commands" . I am a begginer in linux.
do you know the steps I have to do to install it..or what can I do to use Ubuntu with my netscape service?

Give a list of the file names in the tar file.
