   ok, I have an XP / Ubuntu 6.06 dual boot setup on here..
   
   and I'm wondering...is there any way I can just download Ubuntu 7.04 and install it over the 6.06 without needing to use a cd?
   
   possibly using Daemon Tools or whatever?

   edit your repositories to have feisty for the build, and open synaptic or adept.
   
   let it load and then it should update all.
   
   command line update to feisty is NOT recommended.
