Hi all, I have an older PowerMac G4? I haven't used it in quite some time and now it won't boot.

I can't find the discs, so I would like to install Ubuntu.

Can I download Ubuntu on my Windows machine and create a disc to use on my Mac?

Ubuntu officially stopped supporting the PPC edition around version 6

There is a community group that still helps with the PPC version.

    ;)

Your mac is likely a ppc processor if its older, so you really dont have a choice as to support from offical ubuntu. Hoping your just making the comment not questing the ppc version itself?
