Ubuntu

Hello:

I have this secondary computer loaded with Ubuntu.

I can transfer material to it via memory stick, but thats about all. (I dont want to use this computer for the internet)

Primarily I want to get the floppy disc drive to work. it seems to be connected all right but no action.

Also I am unable to load things like .rar opener or VCL video player.


When I open Computer, there is a cdrom folder & files.

Ubuntu Help doesnt say anything about how to activate floppy disc drive.

This computer came from someone else who was going to dispose of it.
I do not have a Ubuntu software disc.
