    Hi,
    a while back I burned a DVD.
I wanted to view it,it plays on my t.v regular DVD player, but,it will not play on windows media?
It says "Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer".:confused I installed DivX converter, but it dont appear to work?
    Could someone help?

    That works-thanks,now I wonder

If I want to make a little movie and put a few clips together to burn.
What should I use? I have DVD Flick, but it does work with those files.
Should I convert all files into what?
    Can you suggest something please?
    Thanks again!

what version of windows are you using? have you tried windows movie maker? you will need that codec pack (or any other one) to view various types of videos.

UDF (Universal Disk Format) does not designate a kind of video file. What do you see when you open the DVD disk in Explorer?

Well the disk plays on the DVD player and regular T.V DVD player, but when I try import whats on the disk, into movie maker,I get two files to open:Audio_TS and Video_TS,but I cannot open them....? nothing happens

It's a Video DVD. It has CSS and other copy protection mechanisms. Also, inside the VIDEO_TS folder are ifo, bup and vob files. These hold all the audio, video and other info on the DVD. They are not supported by Windows Movie Maker.
Try DVDFab HD Decrypter Free version to remove the copy protections and copy the contents of the DVD onto your hard drive: http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm
Try AGK to convert the DVD movie to a format Movie Maker can import: http://majorgeeks.com/AutoGK_Auto_Gordian_Knot_d5795.html
Do this last step overnight if you have an older PC as it can take a while.

Ive tried both these programs:AutoGK +dvdfab, but they seem to not be able to do anything with these two files: Audio_TS and Video_TS on the DVD?:confused
