Just got an Ethernet pop-up saying this. What does this mean? It sounds scary! Is this something to do with my WiFi?

Also, I keep getting new spam emails showing that someone signed me up for various blogs, etc; many are foreign. They don't show my name, just some number used when "I" signed up. This happens even after I completed the whole Read & Run Me First Malware Removal Guide and changed my email password. (I'm also working my way through How to Protect Yourself from Malware and have gotten through Step 4 (Temp Files/Cookies Cleaner.) Should I be worried?

Down in the task bar, right click your connection and click on Network and Sharing. Tell me what is there.

    Sorry; just got home.

So there is only one connection showing?

Yes. But I was worried when it it suddenly popped up with "Network 2 Connected," after I'd been on-line for a while. Why would it do that?

Probably caused by a momentary interruption of your internet service.

Thank you for that; it eases my mind somewhat. However, here's a NEW worry that's sort of related. My computer seemed awfully slow yesterday; even when I typed something it took a few seconds for the letters to show up. I pulled up Task Manager and it showed (and still does today) that Malwarebytes is running all the time. I used the free version for the R&R Me 1st Malware Removal Guide about a week ago, so I'm surprised it's still running. Should it still run?

My Task Manager shows CPU fluctuating up to 16% and Memory at 59%. Malwarebytes and Firefox are shown, PLUS 30 Background (including 360 Total Security 32 bit - even tho' I downloaded the 64 bit version), and 76 Window Processes. Are these supposed to be running all the time, or is this a problem? Computer seems a bit faster today, despite all this stuff.

No MBAM should not still be running in task manager. Just open task manager, click on MBAM and choose end process.

I tried to do that yesterday and it wouldn't go away. However, I just did it now and the process ended. Is this suspicious/scary? (I'm paranoid now!) Should I remove MBAM? And why is 360 showing 32 bits when I downloaded 64 bits?
And thanks again for your help!

Yaaaay! Thank you so much! Since you won't take my son, perhaps you'd enjoy watching this silly youtube.com video: Dogs Being Jerks. (It kept me from losing my sanity today. . . maybe.) ;)

    Have a wonderful weekend!
