uh...hello?

I hope someone here can help me. Something is wrong with my computer. I cannot log into my account on it and have to use my wife's account. Also when I tried to download ANYTHING it says:"Internet explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later". So I don't know anything about this stuff so I was hoping someone could at least point me in the right direction. Thanx Jon.
