Ulead Gif animator help...

Frnds need some unrgent help, i have installed Ulead GIF animator on my XP SP2 PC its celeron 2 ghz system, when i start the application it give some error, this is the error

i have reinstalled the application many times even formatted the pc and installed the OS again n again but no use

 

plz help me its very very urgent

I get that error in Ulead Photo express when I am doing too many things at once. I think it's a memory thing. but I am a newbie, so don't trust me.

hmmm something to think about, but changing the memory is very costly, i have two 512 MB sticks installed and they are DDR1 Rams:-o

My 2 cents:

If you reinstalled the OS and the program still gives you problems....it is the program. If you downloaded it, perhaps the download was corrupt. Have you gone to the Ullead web site to see if there are updates OR a forum where you can state your problem?

 

I'm sorry what I meant was POST the info that error report wants to send to MS so we can see it.

 

there is no option like send error report when i click the application it says U GIF animator has generated errors and needs to close and i get only two options debug and close, clicking on close the application is closed forever there is nothing i can do

 

i dont think the program is curropt as i installed this application 4 years back and it worked gr8 then the platfrom was win xp and the system was same:cool

 

That 3vixd thing is a codec, and corel has a fourm that talks about it

" I know a workaround: Rename 3ivxdsencoder.ax extension to something else. I use 3ivxdsencoder.ax1

GIF Animator will then open.

Bear in mind that this is a problem of version 5 as it does not happen in version 4 (UGA).

Don't forget to rename back the codec when you finish UGA 5.

I am still waiting for Ulead's reply regarding this bug.

3ivx's fault. It's fixed in our current CVS, it should be ok in the next version. The workaround is ok. You can simply unregister the 3ivx DS encoder by typing : "regsvr32 /U 3ivxDSEncoder.ax"

still the problem is unsolved

 

What SP were you running XP under 4 years ago when the program was working? What SP are you running under now? There has to be something different with the OS from 4 years ago that is "causing" your problem. If nothing else has changed...that seems like the only thing left.
