Ultimate Boot CD

Hi,
I have just down loaded from Major Geeks a copy of the Ultimate Boot CD to burn to a CD. Please can some explain how this is done. Do I open all the files first ????

From the description it states that this will create a ISO file, i.e. execute the download you just got. Which then requires one to use an burner that can burn ISO's. Such as IMGBURN: http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4870

 

Most burning software supports .ISO burning. Nero, Roxio, NTI.... Also, CD Burner XP Pro 3. Here's the link: http://www.majorgeeks.com/CDBurnerXP_d4242.html And it's FREE!!!! It's loaded with help files if you're unsure of how to burn an .ISO or any other project for that matter!

Hi Thank you for your reply, I have Nero on my computer so I will try and copy it using nero, Thank you for your time. I will let you no how I get on.

I have been reading the similar threads section as well. I will have a go and see how I get on.

In Nero, use Nero Burning ROM. Cancel the "New Compilation" window, go to Recorder>Burn Image.

Change the file type to .ISO, select the ISO that you downloaded, and burn. I always use the "Finalize CD" option to close the disc, but do not know if that's a requirement to make a boot cd.

This has worked for me with the UBCD.

 

With Nero, it should be: Burn image to disk. Simply select the img (.iso), then click burn. Very simple.

IMGBURN btw is also free.

My first attempt was no good, but the I used the Nero burning ROM as you advised. Excellent it works, thank so much for that. I just hope the others out there having the same problems read your advice because it really dose work.
