I'm wondering if this would be possible ... I know you can make a virtual drive with your RAM ... at least in windows 98 ...

but let's say you had 2 gigs of RAM .. would it be possible to make half of that a page file w/ a virtual drive w/ XP?

    No.

OK, well to be fair, it is possible to do something like this, but it would be a really bad idea, and take a lot of work.

A pagefile is basicly just extra ram. pagefiles are only used in the event that you run out of RAM. If some app specifially says to use a pagefile it will, but even in the event you run into this, you could simply force it to use the ram by disabling the pagefile.

So basicly doing this would just increase your need for a pagefile and ultimately slow the system down since it would have to access the ram through a virtual pagefile which resides on the ram. So it's basicly just making it loop around for no real reason.
