How do i check to see which type of graphics card that I have? Could one of you really smart people help me figure this out please?

How about My Computer, right click Properties, Hardware -> Device Manager -> Display Adapters?

 

What type Of card is this? Intel(r) 82810E Graphic Controller

 

Looks like video built onto the motherboard. I assume the connector that your monitor cable is attached to is not in one of the slots on the back of your PC, but rather located grouped with other connectors such as your mouse, keyboard, printer, etc.

 

Lol damn man ive played counter-strike for 4 years tfc for 4 years defeated all the half-life games. Ive gotten all tom clancys beaten them Ive never even bothered to check my graph cards never really had a problem I just bought a new computer finally. My freind luke has been on this site for awhile so im gonna buy one of those radeons. Since I ahd not the slightest clue HL2 and doom 3 required 128 bit cards.

Should I get a radeon 9200 or just go ahead and spend some extra cash and get the 9800?

 

IMO, if you are looking to get Half-Life 2, this video card is the best bang for the buck. It's a Radeon 9800 Pro w/ a coupon for Half-Life 2 for $219.

not necessarily.

btw, i have a 9200 and you'll definately want to go with better card than a 9200 for HL2 and Doom3.

 

Is it bad it it's not connected to one of the slots on the mother borad?
What i mean to say is, does this prevent Upgrading?
