If I use the un install program in win7. is this ok or sould I use ReVo Un install?

I useto use Revo Un Install because it let you realy go deep when you un installed a program.

But I never new if this was good or not or if I sould get something batter?

Legitimate programs should uninstall fine using the Windows uninstaller.

However, some programs are notorious to leave tons of stuff behind; in these cases a 3rd-party uninstaller like Revo may do a better job.

However, I personally never used it; the Windows uninstaller usually is sufficient for me.

Everything search only takes a few seconds and you can delete the files/folders from within the program.

    Either way will work OK.

However, Revo Uninstaller can also remove leftover registry entries and typically also finds leftover files and folders and
gives you the option to delete those also.

evilfantasy's method should work really well.

Thank you for getting back to me now when I use Everything Search I first use Revo Uninstall and I used it before I am use to it.

But then I just type the name of the program I uninstalled into Everything to have it look for anything left over?

And when it finds it then what?

Right click whatever file or folder you want to remove and choose Delete.

You can select multiple files/folders use the Ctrl + Click method.

Sometimes you will run into a file/folder that will not delete. Restarting the computer usually solves that issue.

Check the path You might be seeing something in a restore point and not in your working windows install. I would not recommend removing what you uninstalled from any restore points.

Some programs will put the files in a folder with the same name and then it will put other file with diferant name somewhere to.

So how can it find these?

I manually delete things in my registry via REGEDIT after thoroughly researching entries I'm not familiar with via Google. You need to make sure its not needed by Windows before you delete anything from your registry.

Just found some adware called "opencandy" this morning that hid itself well. No 3rd party software had found it.
