Unable to access DVD-Rom bonus content

I'm not sure if this is hardware or software related and I have been searching all day for a solution. I have WinVideo installed on my HP Pavilion 7855, with a Toshiba SD-M1502 DVD-Rom drive with Firmware Revision 1808, and Windows Me. I am able to view videos but any bonus content that needs to be viewed simply will not play. I don't get any error message just the screen that says to insert this disc into your computer's DVD-Rom to view bonus content. I have upgraded DirectX to v 9, and have searched unsuccessfully for any firmware upgrades for the drive itself. WinVideo (InterVideo) and InterActual support sites have been useless. (DMA is enabled btw). Any ideas?
