Unable to connect to internet

I had a virus in my laptop yesterday. I think I have removed it but now I am unable to access the internet. I have a wireless connection and have connected using two other laptops. I did reset the router just in case but no luck.

I am not an expert so I looked up information and found that I should try to ping web sites which was successful, run command ipconfig/reset which gives me an error - media disconnected. All indications when I check my connections on the laptop is that I am connected but still no internet. I disabled virus software, tried to manually enter the IP address, subnet, and gateway... nothing has worked. It would probably help if I knew what any of that meant, but I just followed directions. Anyone have any good ideas?
