Unable to connect to my university's WPA

The blue light that says WiFi is lighting up on my computer; however, I am unable to connect to the Internet using my Dell Vostro 1500 running XP SP3. I am able to connect to the same WPA using three of my other computers which are running either Vista Premium or Windows7. I am using my university's network as I live in the university apartments and it's the only one I am allowed to use. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my network adapter drivers. (My sound isn't working either. I'm unable to play .mp4 files even though I can play them on my other computers. This is despite the fact that device manager is showing all my video and sound drivers to be working properly.) After I reinstalled my network adapter drivers, I was prompted by the Wireless Network Connection Settings Wizard which led to a series of problems.

I do not know what to put under Client Identity. The Wireless Network Connection Settings is prompting me to select a logon or identity (either personal certificates or smart card certificates), but I don't know which to select. There is nothing in my university's knowledge base on the Office of Information Technology's website about certificates. The Wireless Network Connection Settings is also prompting me to type in information under certificate information that I don't know. I am supposed to fill in boxes for "Issued to," "Issued by," "Expiration date," and "Friendly name." I have no idea what to put, so I am stumped and still not able to connect to the Internet. What should I do?
