Unable To Decrypt Ssd With Diskcryptor

This maybe a long shot but I was wondering if anyone can help me with decrypting an SSD. Over a year ago I encrypted an SSD using DiskCryptor. I forgot what I did but I did set it up to open the SSD with the password at start up. This SSD had my Windows 7 OS. It seems either the password is wrong or maybe I encrypted the SSD using the wrong hardware. The PC build I had did have a UEFI motherboard and I think that had something to do with it. The software is no longer developed and it was open sourced. Anyway it would be nice if I get any help. TIA. Happy Holidays.

 

Ok, so you know the software used and the config set?

You stated diskcryptor software was used to do so?
Cant you log in?
If its not your account, your up against it.....you could perhaps decrypt it, but it will cost you $$.......freeware claims of decryption, usually dont work!
I would'nt bother unless that data is super sensitive

 

Yes it was a bad move. I don't know what I was thinking at the time. I'll have to look it up but the config was pretty standard. It is my account OS etc. When I start up the PC the motherboard starts up and then you get a blank screen DOS style.

 

DiskCryptor has a 'glitch'.

I would format and clean install, will save you weeks of troubleshooting ghosts.
Dont suppose you have a back up of your files on external.....maybe a disk image?
