I've been trying to download Blue Frog 1.8 and am getting an error page that says that I'm not logged in.

    Is this something new?

I realize that I have the option to go directly to the vendor.

The point is that I'd hope that someone from Major Geeks would see this and look into the problem. :)

    My pleasure AbbySue. ;)

I might also suggest a more meanful error message which would make things a little more 'user friendly' when this problem occurs. :)

That was a 1 in a million shot. The backend has the capability to make downloads available to subscribers only. Since we would not charge someone to download, we will never use it, this was the one time we hit the drop down box for subscribers only. Basically, a huge hassle to design that error page that will never be used :)

Yes, it is fixed. Thanks to all involved for the quick resolution. :)

I had to chuckle at your comment about 'never', no disrespect intended.

As a programmer/analyst I've always programmed for 'never' since 99 times out of 100, 'never' happens.

LOL! I hear that. I think if the day comes that we charge people for downloads, I would rather get a real job. The downloads are mainly small, and although a few times it gets expensive (5,000 people at a time downloading 3DMark at 600 megs for example) the majority of the time we are mainly doing small downloads, average of half a meg. We pay for the servers because we dont see the need. We would have to be about 3 times the size we are now, in which case, hopefully we can afford more servers. They tend to be cheap, unless downloads get huge. :)

Major since you are talking about servers i am just curious what is the cost off a average server ??? $3.000 $5.000 $10.000 .....
