Unable to install anything at all

    I have windows vista Home Premium 32BIT

    I just went through all of the antivirus/malware fix its.

    I am unable to update Java.(Installer cannot Proceed with the current Int. connection settings)

    I can't install BitDefender (Requires Internet connection-no internet connection) I do have internet connection

    Can't run AVG remover ("save file" not highlighted)

    When I try to open certain emails i.e.-Phantoms and Monsters- a message comes up that says, (One or more ActiveX .... could not be displayed.)
    1.security settings
    2. Blocked publisher

    Another message, JavaScript has stopped running

    Can't install BitDefender-It is between download application files and install files... then it stops and says it can't go any further.

    I am without antivirus protection. Please help!!!

    Have you tried the following from command prompt?

    ipconfig /flushdns
    msiexec.exe /unregister
    msiexec.exe /regserver
    regsvr32 /s msi.dll
    net start "windows firewall/internet connection sharing (ics)"
    Are you using any kind of proxy?
    Have you tried resetting your IE settings to defaults?
    Have you tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling Java?
