    Hi guys,

Right now I am trying to install Windows XP Home Chinese Simplified SVP3 on a HP Pavilion DV4-1212tx laptop.

This machine was originally installed with Vista Home Basic.

And so we all know that in older batch of laptops we need to install a SATA AHCI Driver when installing Windows so the computer reads the HDD. This is the problem I am facing now.

The supposed SATA AHCI controller is Intel ICH9M-E/M. I've downloaded it, packed it into a floppy diskette and tries to install the OS. But when I came to the part to select the SATA controllers, in the whole list available, none of them worked. I am even shown the BSOD at several failed attempts. Otherwise I would be told there are no SCSI devices or HDD devices on the computer.

Some additional information, there aren't many options in the BIOS for me to toggle around with.:(

p.s: i am wondering why i am always facing all kinds of left field problems...:cry

ok guys, i have managed to solve the problem myself by slip streaming the SATA driver together with the XP cd. =D
