My computer has 1 account and 1 Administrator account. Neither have ever had passwords and when windows xp pro was on, it went directly to the desktop and turning on. I ran a registry fix on the comp and the system rebooted. When it was finished it came up with a logon screen for the account wanting a password. Pushed enter and won't work without a password. Also tried to logon to safe mode and use administrator but it wants a password there also. I used a "Offline NT Password & Registry Editor, Bootdisk / CD" and rebooted. It showed that my Administrator and account had a dis/lock which I corrected and then rebooted. No passwords were showing on either, but I tried the delete/remove password just in case. After the reboot it comes with the above message. If I Control Alt Delete, I can't logon that way either. It won't let me logon to my computer at all. I don't want to reinstall xp.
Can anyone help me please. I have been trying for 4 days to fix this. I did a system restore point prior to running the registry fix but can't get in to restore. I don't know what else to do.
This is a desktop home computer. If you need other information to help please let me know.
