I have the Recovery Disks that were burnt yesterday and verified good as they were completed. System says Read Error now that I try to re-install. Unable to Recover from Partition, I hit the F10 key during boot and the screen goes and stays black except for a cursor in the top-left, HD Busy lite stays lit continuously.

Is it re-installing from partition without telling me what it is doing?

How about some more info? System make/model; version of Windows; what steps have you taken; etc....

HP Media Center PC m7640n, Winxp SP2. I have installed WinXP 64 on a separate partition and can not get it to function fully either. I have tried to rebuild the partition with recovery disc, I have cleaned DVD Reader and Recovery DVD's and tried again. I have followed all procedures from the HP site here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?lc=en&cc=us&product=3245032&os=228&dlc=en&

Looks like it may be time to order the Recovery Discs from HP, tho I would like to avoid this if possible.
