unable to see any websites

    XP and connected to internet, when I try to log on to website, states not able to connect (to site) this is #2 computer and works fine. I thank this happened in the past and I had to check something someplace.

    Hi

    What Windows version you using?
    What Browser?
    What is the full error message given?

    If you have any security applications installed then disable them to test that they are not blocking the connection, usual suspect is a Firewall.

    Also try Safe Mode with Networking (F8 at boot then Safe Mode with Netowrking), and does that work ok?

    try removing Anti-Virus and see if you can log on, had the same problem removed anti-Virus and presto internet

    How is your network set up? A router or directly connected to the modem? Are both of your machines connected in the same way?

    Can you do an IPCONFIG /ALL from both machines and post here?
