Unable to turn on Auto Run

Saw these other threads, but my problem is that it won't turn on. I disabled it with AVG, and now it says it is on but it isn't. The AVG program was a use one time. Any suggestions?

Do you mean autorun when you insert a CD or DVD into the drive?
If so go here
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/967715
and click the enable button. Or read further and do the manual changes yourself.

If you instead mean the program Auto Runs, go here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902
download it and simply click the exe to run it.

Yes when I insert a cd or dvd. tried that an it is already enabled.
