Unauthorized for downloads

I recently tried downloading some video game roms from a site that I am a member of, and when i got to the download page I was redirected to an error screen stating that I am unauthorized to download and that I did not supply the credentials needed to access that page. I sent the site an e-mail and they said there should be no problem and I should be fine to download. Well since then anytime I try to download anything it gives me the same response. I just tried to download the mcaffee avert stinger from your site and it gave me the same problem. I don't know what is causing this. I have taken all of the precautions listed in your spyware sticky to clean my computer and am pretty safe about where I surf. Just ran full scans with all of my tools yesterday and am clean. Can you tell me what is wrong?

 

Okay guys, If anyone was ANY idea what so ever about this I would love to know. I am really at a loss. I can not download any new programs or anyhting and I have no idea why. Please help me out here.

 

Thanks for the response. Tried that. In fact I 1 upped it and ran CCleaner and still no go. A friend said I should contact my ISP and ask about changing my IP address. Is that really a needed step or overkill? I have been trying to get ahold of my ISPs tech support but can't find a 24hr number for it. Any other ideas anyone?

 

OK, nevermind. I got it. Apparently the Zonealarm firewall is just too badass and was blocking the downloads. lol. So if anyone else has this problem try adjusting your firewall settings. Hasta!
