Well today, May 15th, marks my wife's and my 25th wedding anniversary!!! Now, what makes it so unbelievable is that she put up with me for 25 years!!! That woman has the patience of a saint!!:-D It's either that, or her degree in child psychology, that helped her through;) I lean toward the latter!rolleyes Stll, her dedication has not gone unnoticed! I planned a romantic dinner at Taco Bell where she'll be able to order a beef burrito with, now get this,...DOUBLE BEEF!!! And some people say that I don't have a romantic bone in my body...HA!!! Of course, with the added expense of 'extra beef' she'll have to buy her own drink, but that decision will be left solely up to her!! Hey, I may be romantic, but I'm also 'cheap!!'roflmao

Seriously, we have reservations at a pretty upscale steak house, you know the kind that you can only afford once a year!!

Congrats and 25 yrs is alot of time. And it really does take a certain person to be with people and finding the right one. Congrats again. And just remember if you really want to get her something special to...supersize the drink for her while there.

Sorry I had to end that first post so quickly, but Terri walked into the room and I didn't want her to read the part I was getting ready to type. Bless her heart, she has had that same diamond ring for 25 years, 1\4 carat, and I know she wanted a bigger one even though she never complained. So, tonight, I'm going to surprise her with a 1 carat diamond solitare. It wasn't cheap, but she really earned it by putting up with me and all these health problems I've had. I know that's what couples should do, but this is my way of saying thanks for sticking by me and never losing her faith in me.

The Steak House does sound a little better than the dhiarrito from Taco Bell so good choice there.

Congrats. You did better than me since I only lasted 11yrs before I got fired but I learn from my mistakes so I'll pick a better one next time. lol

Thank-you for all the well wishes, I honestly do appreciate it! The evening was great, the steaks were great and when I gave her the ring she, as Sarge predicted, was totally speechless! Hmmmmm, maybe I should give her a ring more often??:-D Well actually, she did say, 'you shouldn't have!' You know, I thought about that statement she made and, to keep her happy, I handed her the payment book and told her that HER payments are due the 10th of every month!!roflmao Man, I'm sure glad she has a good sense of humor!! After all, she had a diner roll in her hand, already buttered, but she hit me with the payment book instead!:-D Good night all and, again, thank-you!

Congrats on reaching the 25 year milestone in your marriage, Stubby :cool. As long as you can look back with fondness and regard it as a milestone rather than a millstone, I guess life's not too bad, eh;). Yeah. nothing like a big diamond ring to make a woman happy. You may be her best friend, but so are diamonds:-D. Glad that you both had a blast on the evening and wishing you both many more decades of happiness together.:)

Best to you and your lady, Stubby - 25 years is quite a milestone.

I was married to my first wife for 18 years . . . and while the marriage did end, we parted as friends. I have now been married to my wife for going on 9years.

I'd always felt kinda smug and patted myself on the back since I've been able to convince two (seemingly) intelligent, beautiful women to actually marry me :confused but the real accomplishment is longevity - and you have proven your relationship has that! Well done, sir.

I'll get back with you in 16 years, if she hasn't killed me by then ;)
