Uncovering Passwords

i would like to know if there is a piece of software i can install on my computer that can scan it and give a report of any passwords used for certain web pages, programs etc.?

I have a program that you can use for passwords that are ******* in at least mail programs. Say you installed thunderbird but it's been so long since you set your email up in outlook or whatever, you forgot your password. I don't think that's what you're looking for. firefox will show you stored passwords for web pages.

 

thanks guys, what if the program or web page doesnt have the ****** in it but is one you have to manually type in. Is there somethign that can uncover what that password is?

 

Usually something that says "forgot your password?" and a question to answer. How about specifics?
