Undentifiable Issue

First post here and but I have searched answers and solutions on these forums for quite a while. This is one of the first times I have run into this problem. My computer has run well for quite a while and I have no issues. Recently however I noticed that my computer was shutting itself off when I was playing left 4 dead. Thought it was a heating issue so I cleaned it out and replaced the thermal and used a temp monitor and the issue is finished. However, when I try and turn my computer on it can take quite a few attempts to get the boot up and appear on the monitor. Everything turns on and all the fans are working, just no signal sent to the monitor. Replaced monitors and it still happens on the 3 others I have tried. Was wondering if this is a graphics card issue or if my hard drive is seeing the end of its days. Appreciate any help on this issue.

 

open it back up and check all wires and connectons you can see... BE FIRM BUT GENTLE!

Also remember when working inside your PC, MAC, LAPPY, SERVER always think about STATIC, preferably wear an anti-static wristband or ground yourself by touching the metal case.

sounds like ~Q~ is giving good advice.Not many remember to mention the hazards of static and the need to ground yourself.
Good to see that it is recognized.

edit: as for the static awareness, with everything getting smaller thing become more delicate and susceptable to static damage, it needs to be known : )

 

Is OK. I've been known to lapse a time or three myself.
