have 40Gig hard drive and divided it into two sections, one with win2000 and the other with win98. I would like to undo the partition and have only win2000.
    Suggestions?

Boot into Windows 2000, and go into Computer Management > Disk Management and delete the Win98 partition. Do not re-format it. You want it so that Disk Management reports the space as 'unallocated'. Then reboot, and boot to BootIt NG and use the Partition Work > Resize option to 'stretch' the Win2000 partition to the max available. The BootIt download will create a bootable floppy (or CD ISO image I think). When you boot to it it will ask if you want to install it to the hard drive, or if you want to use "maintenance mode" (I think it's called maintenance mode) and you do NOT want to install it to the hard drive; use maintenance mode. It says shareware, but I've been using the same BootIt floppy for about 4 years and have never been prompted to buy anything. I sent some dough just because their tool is very useful, but they didn't force me to :-D

(don't worry about any data loss; I have used BootIt for years and have done MANY partition resizes and I have NEVER had any data loss, ever)
