Unfound Files That I can access

Ok, here's the wierdness...

I have an extra hard drive I use for nothing but my music files. Just recently I discovered that all files that start with G to Z are not seen when I open the drive through My Computer or any other Explore means. However, these files can be played and even opened through Windows Media Player if I right click and select Open File Location through Media Player, so long as those files are in a folder. All files from G on, NOT in a folder cannot be found using Media Player or any other program. Media Player will play these files since they were listed in Media Player before this problem occurred.

So, a quick synopsis: ALL files that start with G to Z cannot be seen in any shape or form, except those in a folder that begin with any letter before G. Even folders that start with G to Z cannot be seen.

I am at a total loss and am at MajorGeeks mercy looking for some answers!
