Unininstalling WIndows Media Player 10 - How?

I would like to go back to Windows Media Player 9 (10 conflicts with one of my applications), and since it is protected, I can't get it uninstalled. I have the setup file for player 9, but it won't let me install it since 10 is on my system. How can I go back to Media Player 9?

Just go into Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Windows Media 10. This will roll back Windows Media to version 9.

What happens when you try to uninstall?

 

it just rolled back for me when i uninstalled.

maybe they got their players from a peer 2 peer or somthing??

 

Ive never heard of a uninstall going bad with Media Player 10, a simple uninstall rolls it back to version 9.

 

Is Media Player 10 still in it's Beta release? If I don't have the Beta version, will this removal tool still remove it?

I havnt checked on that, Add/Remove has never failed for me. Personally, I would stay away from it.
