Uninstall 2007, reinstall 2003???

I want to uninstall my Office 2007 trial version and go back to my old 2003 version. BUT I DON'T have my old 2003 disks or my old product key number!!!
What do I do??? Or have I permanently gotten screwed myself out of having my old 2003 Office (which I liked) because I took the bait and tried 2007?

 

the problem comes from Microsoft's sloppy or creative (take your pick) install practices. 9 times from 10 '07 will install over '03, more or less rendering it useless and unrecoverable. there is a way you can install it with out allowing the overwrite, but that seems to be a moot point in your case.

you could get by without the discs but with out a product key your outta luck friend, unless ya wanna buy the product. your other option is to try one of the open source programs that is compatible with Microsoft Office. one good example: Open Office. you can find it here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/OpenOffice.org_For_Windows_d3461.html

its different and may take some getting used to, but its compatible and can do almost everything Microsoft Office can do.

whatever ya do, don't try to system restore the 2003. it won't work and it'll make lots more problems.

 

you might have a slight chance that the product key is still in the system..somewhere.

try magic jellybean keyfinder, and see if it finds the key for 2003.

 

How did you get Office 2003 installed in the first place?
