Uninstall A Program.

True Key is a program that I cannot get rid of. It is not listed in uninstall programs in the control panel-only in Program Files.
I have tried 4 different uninstall programs, including "geek"...nothing works.

 

Did any of these uninstall programs state that it was successfully uninstalled ? Also what version of Windows are you running ?

 

You need to look for Intel Security True Key in Add or Remove Programs.

Windows 10.
True Key/McAfee were part of the Adobe Flash Player that I didn't require.
True Key did not show up in any of the uninstall programs...only is listed in my Program Files.

 

Did you look at the info in the second link in post #3?

 

When I looked at "Service Installer Wrapper TrueKey", "Stop" is greyed out.

 

Changing greyed Services involves editing the Registry. As I don't use Windows 10, I'm reluctant to just link to info on the web.
When you open C:\Program Files\Intel Security\True Key, is there not an uninstall file?

 

There is but it does nothing.

 

Even when you double-click the file?

 

Click, double-click...nothing.
The files disappear but are not deleted...click & they return.

I hope the above link is of some help. There are no Adobe or McAfee programs on our machines. If all else fails load a Linux Live CD and tear it out by the roots.

I installed "Process Explorer" & it worked perfectly.
