    Hi,

I want to uninstall the IBM Thinkvantage client security solution/Password Manager that was pre-installed with my new computer, but I do not see it in my "Add/Remove Programs" list. I'm thinking I just might have to go to the directory and delete it all, but I don't know if this will mess things up.

The reason I want to do this is because every time I boot up my machine, the client security is asking me for a password I don't have, and don't even recall setting up. I always use the administrator account on my machine, but the password for the account is not the one security is looking for. I've been told by IBM reps that after 10 failed authentications, the computer will lock up for an hour, and progressively longer periods with further fails. I haven't kept count, but I think I'm approaching the 10th time. The IBM/Lenovo reps also don't have a clue how to uninstall it, since they only deal with hardware support.

My ideal solution is to get rid of the program entirely, as I don't need it. Failing that, I would settle for fixing it so that it stops asking for a nonexistent password. Anyone have this problem with IBM/Lenovo machines or have any ideas how to fix?

    Thanks
