Uninstall IE7

How can I uninstall IE7 if it isn't listed in Add/Remove Programs? Should I try a 3rd party uninstaller like Revo? Is there any way to get it to show up in the Add/Remove list? None of the Windows updates are listed in Add/Remove, and yes, I did check the box for "Show Updates". Does Internet Explorer 7 possibly have an uninst.exe like lots of other programs do?

i just checked out my add and remove programs list and ie7 is listed in mine i am running win xp sp3 maybe yours was deleted from the list somehow maybe trying to reinstall the program to see if it gets re listed might help

 

Are you running Vista? If so, you cannot uninstall it as it is an integral part of the Vista platform.

 

Nope.... no Vista.... XP Home SP2. I ran Dial-A-Fix and it seems to have corrected the problem with no Windows updates being listed in Add/Remove. They are listed now, as is IE7. I have uninstalled it, and reinstalled it, and now it's working fine (that's why I started the thread; I had to uninstall/reinstall 'cuz IE wasn't working right; it is now). But when I go to Windows Update, it tries to install the WGA update and it fails. It's a long story as to why I think it has failed, and it's probably best tackled in a new thread.
Long story short: this problem is solved. New problem=new thread :-D
