Uninstall JustZipIt

    I just downloaded JustZipIt (http://free-backup-software.net/), and now I can't uninstall it! It says that you can uninstall from the start menu, but I deleted the shortcut! Now I seem to be screwed, since it isn't in Add/Remove programs or anything.

    Try going through Explorer to find the folder where JustZipIt is located. Then look around for an uninstall file. If you can't find it, redownload it and then uninstall it. When you redownload it, it should override all existing files and that way it will place a shortcut on the start menu.

    bang on the money NEO ... if you dont have an uninstall ref in Add/Remove or have deleted the uninstall shortcut..... re-install the app and use the programs un-installer.


    then use this free app to locate any stragglers in the registry linking to that program only.

    once run just look down the Software list for anything with that apps name and tick then Remove Selected.

    Sorry I forgot to post that I figured it out. I already tried those things anyway. This is the gayest program I have ever seen. I had to delete the folder and a million registry entries.

    So you did uninstall it, its just that the uninstall thing doesn't get rid of everything. What you needed was a registry cleaner like REGCLEAN or something to get rid of the registry entries.
