Uninstall ubuntu 7.1

    Hi, Happy tamil new year!
    i have few questions..
    1.
    I have installed ubuntu 7.1. now i want to uninstall it from windows can i?

    2.
    im using EXT2 to see linux drive from windows. i have edited FIXMBR from recovery console using xp os cd. now can i format the drive from windows?

    3.
    how do i get back the unpartitioned drive to windows?

    hi,

    if you installed ubuntu on a partition on your windows 'c' drive then all you need to do is boot from your windows cd and enter the recovery console,
    then you need to use

    fixboot c:
    fixmbr

    this should remove grub (the linux bootloader) and allow you to use ntldr,

    then reboot (without the cd), enter windows and go to

    start > run and type diskmgmt.msc then enter

    locate the 3 unasigned partitions and just delete them,

    ubuntu is now removed from your system

    to re-use the hdd space you now have, just create a new partition and format to NTFS
