Uninstall XP Screensavers And Wallpapers

Is there a way to uninstall XP screensavers...i've done so a few times but they keep coming back

Read that it may work if i delete the backup copy that Windows keeps in the dll cache...can't find it though

Anyone managed to successfully uninstall these.

 

Are you talking about the XP default ones?

 

Hi bj...yes...i'm trying to remove everything i never use...just want to keep the one screensaver.

 

They don't use hardly any space or resources leaving them there. Personally, I would just leave them as is because removing XP default files could cause problems eventually.

But, if you must. The extension for screen savers are: .scr.

They are normally located within c:\windows\system32
