Uninstalling programs in Windows XP Pro

I'm wondering if there is software that does a better job of uninstalling programs than Windows XP Pro's Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs. I'm looking for something that will uninstall and leave no trace whatsoever of the program I'm uninstalling.

There are two reasons I'm asking.

I'm having trouble with a program that I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3 or 4 times and it's important. It's been acting buggy, and I need it for work.

The other reason, there's another program I would like to downgrade to an earlier better version (No, I'm not downgrading away from Vista. It's another work program.) and I'm thinking I probably need to really wipe the newer version completely off before installing an earlier version or I could really mess things up.

    Try this: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Add-Remove-Pro.shtml
It's called Add-Remove Pro. It's free and easy to use. Another cool thing: after you install it, you can copy its folder from Program Files to a USB thumb drive and run it as a stand-alone just by double-clicking the .exe. I use this all the time and I personally give it 4.75 start out of 5.
