I've just bought a second hand , old PC with a view to formatting the hard drive and installing Win ME. How do I uninstall Windows NT 4.0?

The reason I want to install Win ME is because it's the only software that I have. Regarding "just format", how do I do it? I know that you have to make a start up disc but how do I do that?

By the way, you were'nt being a "dick". I do have a sense of humour.

If you don't have the Win Me startup floppy you can download one here:
    http://www.24by7.ca/files/bootme.exe

Boot from the floppy, with your Me CD in the CD drive, and choose "With CD-ROM Support"
If the partition NT is on is NTFS you will need to run FDISK from the DOS prompt and delete the "NON-DOS" partition, then create a new primary partition and set it as 'Active', then you can exit FDISK and format the partition.
If the paratition NT is on is FAT32, just format it, you do not need to run FDISK.
Then run 'setup' from the DOS prompt to install WinMe.
