unit passes pc doc, freezes randomly

im working on a unit currently that has passed all pc doc tests and was recently restored using the recovery partition and fully updated using windows update.

This unit freezes at random intervals even though its passing all pc doc tests and erd50 is finding no corrupted system files, also chkdsk is clean

the only thing i can think of is an intermitant motherboard issues, or some sort of short. what are your thoughts???
