Hi, can anyone tell by this Device Manager dialog (attached) what device it might be referring to? The Add Hardware wizard starts when I boot my computer. The device next to it is an ethernet controller I have disabled. Thank you! :)

Okay, thank you. The program was already uninstalled, so I clicked on the link you provided, and it immediately had me reboot the system, and the message did not appear again. Issue resolved. Thanks again. :)

Thanks Adrynalyne. After reading this thread, I uninstalled SAS using the utility you linked to. Is there a suitable alternative to SAS? Is it necessary?

Sorry friend, I am not a good person to ask about that. I use OS X these days. :( Someone more experienced with that stuff will need to answer.

@Mdonah, why (If I may ask) would you want to uninstall SUPERantispyware?

Because I didn't want the same type of issues AloisD had. I run MSE, WindowsFirewall and Spyware Blaster. I'm also particular and careful about the sites I go to and the links I click on. I also make sure I don't install "bundled" software. I got Babylon once and that was once too often and was due to carelessness on my part — lesson learned.

Alois only wondered what it was. It's a genuine part of Superantispyware, but because it was no longer installed on that machine, it was not needed.

I am only saying this to clarify to others. :)

I know this is getting slightly off track, but is Spyware Blaster better than SUPERAntispyware? I always thought it would be good to keep one of those programs around, in addition to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, but maybe I am wrong. I uninstalled SUPERAntispyware based on recommendation in this thread. Thanks! :)

Spyware Blaster is a completely different type of program. It doesn't have a scanner element. It has a list of over 15,000 exploits it protects your browsers from. The freeware version needs to have protections updated manually, but offers all of the protections the paid version does and it's all done in the background. The exploits are simply blocked from ever getting to your browser.
