Hey I was wondering if what I am doing is safe. I am running a Presler Pentium D 925 Dual-Core 3.0 ghz and OCing to 3.9. The only way I could get this high without my computer locking up every 10 minutes was to unlink my memory and FSB. I have my memory running at 840 mhz, they run stock at 800. Thanks for any help.

Sure its safe running a divider. Though 1:1 is preferred sometimes the only way to get max ram/CPU performance is by running a divider. Keep in mind that even though running a divider may let you run faster ram clocks it may not result in better performance then running 1:1. Are you running a negative of positive divider ?

im not sure if its negative or positive, how could i find that out? Thanks so much for the help.

yo, i just switched the divder to 5:4. I have the FSb running 1020 mhz and memory at 816 mhz. I had another question about ddr2 timings.....

Sorry things have been kinda hectic around here lately. What core speeds have you been able to hit with the lower ram speeds?

i have got my FSB up to 1020.00 at 3.825 ghz. It is running cool at this temp so I may go higher. I am running a 5:4 divider with my memory running at 816 mhz. Is this all safe OCing?

Stock voltage ? How are your temps?

as long as you are within heat parameters and it doesn't get all wierd doing heavy math simulations, then you are safe.

oh yeah, ace... didn't know you were an admin now! Congratz!
