    Hello Everyone,

I'm the administrator on our home computer and set up a login account for my daughter a few years ago. To make a long story short she is abusing the privilege of using the computer.

I however have forgotten the password we setup for her and she will not provide it. She still needs to use the computer for her homework but I just want to remove her password all together.

I have Windows 7 Professional running on our computer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Global2004, not to sound rude or cause any offense, but how old is your daughter ? My son is 14 and if he doesn't obey my rules on using his computer, he loses that privilege. Maybe you can try waiting until she's using it, then go in and go to User Accounts and remove the password. Like I said, no offense meant. :)

Go into the Control Panel and open User Accounts. Open Your User Account then click on "Manage another user account". If your daughter has an Administrator account, demote her to a Standard account. You can then click on "Remove password".
