    Hello
I used to use Unlocker for stubborn fodders.
I have tried 7 sites but cannot get a pure version. Softpedia has dropped it, Major Geeks does not specify Win 10, and others try to force bundles on you. I saw IOBIT has an Unlocker but have issues with then- I know some of you like them but we each have our preferences.
Is there a site for that program I am looking for.
    TY
    Peter

If you download Unlocker 1.9.2 it don't state that it works on win 10 but it does work no issues. Just download as normal and install

    Hope this helps

I've found it works ok in Win 10 as andy mentions above, at times if an app does not mention a specific windows version right click and run as admin and they do tend to work ok.

I run Unlocker 1.91 64-bit on my 64-bit Windows and Unlocker 1.92 32-bit on my 32-bit Windows. I can upload them to my G-Drive if you wish. They both run on Windows 10 without having to run them as Admin or in Compatibility Mode.

Click on the button labelled download and unlocker will download to your computer.

When I clicked on the download, that Delta issue came up and I cannot get around it.

You have the Delta Toolbar? I don't, otherwise, understand what you mean by "that Delta issue". I make sure to NOT do express install. I don't have the Delta toolbar in Unlocker 1.92 nor do I have the Bing toolbar in Unlocker 1.91 x64.

When I clicked on your second link the download began and the Delta toolbar choice came up no matter what I did I could not get around it.
I can try the first link when I get back to my computer see what happens when you click the second link

    I just downloaded both files.

Delta Toolbar doesn't come into play until you launch the setup file and you have the choice of NOT installing Delta by unchecking the boxes.

Do you see this when you click on either link. I am using Chrome with Win 10 x 64.
I am pursuing this b/c I really like the app and would like to resolve this issue with Delta Toolbar.

Here's the portable version of Unlocker, 32-bit & 64-bit, no Delta toolbar.

Doesn't that require a flash drive and not the computer. If I download to the pc I won't know where to find it when I want to use it.
Is there a way to put this app on my start menu so it is accessible?

    1. No. Portable software can be run from a PC. The only difference is the software doesn't install.
    2. By default, the file will be in the Downloads folder. If it's not there, search for Unlocker.zip.
    3. Right-click UnlockerPortable.exe and click Pin to Start menu.

No, I don't have problems at all. I run FireFox. Chrome blue screened my computers because it tried to access a forbidden part of memory. I haven't run it since and I'm not going to.

Since Eldon supplied you with the portable version, you can run that if you wish. I prefer the installer version because it integrates with the right-click context menu.

I too would like the installed version so maybe Edge will do it. I use Chrome to sync with my phone.

I appreciate the information about the start menu.

Have you tried downloading from MajorGeeks?

  20. peterr

    peterr MajorGeek

Yes, it is on my desktop and start menu. If I delete the folder on the desktop will the program still run from start?
Or is there some way I can move the folder as I have only a recycle bin on my desktop and wish to keep it that way?
    TY
    Peter

peterr, you have lost me?! How did the folder end up on your desktop? The program from MajorGeeks installs in the Program Files folder.

  22. peterr

It came to my desktop so I moved it to documents; perhaps it was not the MG one but I know I did try that one.
I clicked on the links given above and the download shows it going to desktop; from there I put it in documents. I would have preferred it going to program files.
    What link do you have?

Where downloads go is an option in your browser. You can change that option to any folder you like, but the norm is Downloads.

I use Google Sync on both of my computers. That's how you got the downloads from my Google Drive. See if there's Google Sync for your phone.

Download the file from MajorGeeks. It's name is Unlocker1.9.2. Double-click the file and install the program. In the zip file I attached are screenshots how to install the program and avoid the Delta Toolbar.

    >>Eldon, I followed your directions and it shows that it installs the delta tool bar. Extract it and you will see the dot is to install that toolbar.

    No it doesn't.
Have a look at the screenshots.

"Unlocker work around delta toolbar = check delta but uncheck everything under it. Then next checks uncheck all except explorer extension."

Elddon, above is the work around you were suggesting that I did not get. I put it into a context I can better grasp.
Thanks for your patience and work

peterr, the screenshots say it all. Click Advanced and then remove the check marks below that as in image #2.
You don't check Delta, you uncheck Delta!
    Continue the installation.
This gives you the right-click option to unlock a file.

BTW I always disconnect from the internet before installing software.

I didn't realize that there was a little bit of a language barrier. I'll pay closer attention in the future.
